Lead Ayahuasca Ceremony Facilitator
Zach exited college to spend much of his early adult life in business. He first went into international trade followed by a ten year stint as an institutional stock broker for a boutique investment bank. Then in 2009 he went to Peru for an Ayahuasca retreat. This trip to Peru literally changed his life on almost every level.
In 2010 Zach having fully realized his dissatisfaction with the corporate world, left his job in finance and moved to Peru full time until mid 2014. The original purpose of this move was to simply do personal work with Ayahuasca and other plant medicines with the plan to return home to the USA after 6 months.
Zach settled in a small amazonian jungle village, Jenaro Hererra, where Zach spent his time doing little else besides drinking Ayahuasca and doing shamanic plant dietas with the Galindo family. Zach’s main teachers were Maestro Gumercindo Galindo and Maestro Don Roldan Galindo (Gumercindo’s father).
Contrary to the original plan of staying only 6 months in Peru, Zach and the Galindo family decided to open an Ayahuasca retreat center called La Familia Medicina.
La Familia Medicina conducted Ayahuasca and shamanic plant dieta retreats from 2011 to mid 2014. Mid 2014 Zach returned to the USA and started Camino Do Amor with his apprentices Scott and Amy in Bend, OR. In mid 2016, Zach moved, with his wife Jess to Austin, TX to establish Iglesia Del Despertar.
